In this professional development course you will learn how to create assessments that provide direct evidence of students’ learning of specific lesson objectives, and how to analyze the patterns of learning (quantitative and qualitative) across the class that summarize what students know, are able to do, and still need to learn.

When learning to collect and analyze information in the classroom, educators develop skills in gathering data from various sources like assessments, observations, and student work, then interpreting that data to identify patterns, strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement, ultimately allowing them to tailor their teaching methods to better support individual student needs and maximize learning outcomes. In this course, we will discuss ways of collecting information and how to use it to inform instruction to benefit students.

CPE hours for teacher license renewal:
- Classroom teachers must complete 150 CPE hours
- CPE hours must be related to the certificate being renewed
